Christianity. What does it mean to kiwis as a people? In bygone days, every family went to church on a weekly basis and the mere fact that you attended a Catholic or Anglican church made you a Christian in the eyes of the world.
Times have changed. New Zealanders no longer believe in God as a nation. The face of Christianity in New Zealand has altered beyond all recognition.
Those who attend church are seen as odd fundamentalists who are in denial of the facts of life. In reality, any one person with an open and enquiring mind can find out for themselves, through careful research of the bible, that God is indeed real and there is so much more to life that the endless search for happiness.
As a Christian woman in New Zealand, I am proud to stand up and say, I believe in God and KNOW he is real and died to save me. Have you looked into God for yourself? Can you say beyond a shadow of a doubt that He is or is not real?
If you are looking for the truth, start with the bible. A fantastic place to begin is in the book of John. May God help you to see Him. Amen.
